Hi, I am Caius Scipio

I use the pen name Caius Scipio. In April 2023, my friends got me interested in programming again. Before that, the only programming I did was in BASIC. Remember that one? Yeah, I had some catching up to do. It turns out that making things that live on the Internet is fun, challenging, and rewarding. A fun puzzle to solve for each project! The interest eventually led me to get Front-End certified through META (linked above).

Before making all these great things for the Internet, I was in the United States Army, and in my decade of service, I learned that I enjoy two things: teaching and the great outdoors. After the Army, you could find me in the classroom teaching English as a Foreign Language since 2005. So, if I'm not making great things for the Internet or in the classroom, then it's a safe bet I'm on a mountain enjoying the view or helping others to enjoy.
